The greenest holidays
Predi Son Jaumell Hotel Rural, a symbol of sustainability in Mallorca
A magnificent example of good ecological stewardship. Nestled in a wonderful natural setting in the charming village of Capdepera, in the northeast of Mallorca, Predi Son Jaumell Hotel Rural has been committed to sustainability since it was founded more than a decade ago.
We need to make it clear that Predi Son Jaumell hasn't jumped on the bandwagon. The establishment was a true pioneer in the environmental tourism ethos and, since then, the hotel has been working with the utmost respect for the environment and always in favour of sustainability, circularity, energy saving and recycling.
Predi Son Jaumell Hotel Rural has large plots of agricultural land with its own olive grove and vineyards, thanks to which it can produce its own wine and olive oil. The plants are mainly of local origin and there are also animals on the estate that contribute to the natural clearing of the land. The crops are drip irrigated with programmers to save as much water as possible. To heat the rooms, we use a main biomass boiler and an auxiliary propane gas boiler. And, to save energy, a home automation system has been installed which turns off the lights and controls the hotel's air conditioning system. There's also LED lighting throughout the estate.
The hotel is cleaned with environmentally friendly products and the hotel staff are committed to ensuring the correct separation of waste. In addition, guests can use bicycles free of charge to ride around the hotel estate and explore the magic of Capdepera.
And, finally, vehicle charging points are available free of charge for those arriving by car.
What are you waiting for? Are you up for a truly green holiday?
